Preparation of magnetic multi-walled carbon nanotubes for an efficient adsorption and spectrophotometric determination of amoxicillin
E-mail:
A magnetic multi-walled carbon nanotube nanocomposite was prepared and used as an adsorbent for removal of amoxicillin from aqueous solutions. This nanocomposite was composed from commercial multi-walled carbon nanotubes and iron oxide nanoparticles. The properties of this magnetic adsorbent were characterized by scanning electron microscopy. Experiments were carried out to investigate pH of the solution, adsorption kinetics and capacity and the effect of adsorption dosage on the removal of amoxicillin. Freundlich, Langmuir and D-R model were used to study the adsorption isotherms.
