나노크기 금과 제올라이트를 Double Wash-coat한 촉매상에서 C3H6에 의한 NO의 환원반응
Reduction of NO by C3H6 over Double Wash-coated Catalysts with Gold Nanoparticle and Zeolite
Nitrogen oxides(NOx) in the exhaust of both automobile and stationary sources are of critical concern because these byproducts are toxic environmental pollutants. In this study, NO decomposition and SCR of NO with C3H6 in the presence of oxygen were studied over two-layer wash-coat monolith catalysts. Decomposition of NO to N2 and O2 was retarded by coating zeolite on monolith supported Au/Al2O3 or Pt/Al2O3 catalysts. In the reduction of NO with C3H6, conversion of NO and C3H6 over CuM/Pt/Al2O3 catalyst was the highest, and the catalyst broadened the temperature window. Pt/Al2O3 or Au/Al2O3 catalyst in the 1st layer plays a role in oxidation process of NO to NO2, and HM or CuM in the 2nd layer plays a role in reduction process of NO2 by adsorbing C3H6. It was therefore known that two functional monolith catalyst was very effective for selective catalytic reduction of NO.
