Dependence of lattice constant of Ba, Co-contained perovskite oxides on atmosphere, and measurements of water content
In this work, water content of Ba0.5Sr0.5CoxFe1-xO3-delta and PrBaCo2O5+delta was measured by Karl Fischer titration method. Dependence of the lattice constants of Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-delta and PrBaCo2O5+delta on atmosphere was investigated by high temperature X-ray diffraction (HT-XRD) measurements. The results revealed that the lattice volumes of Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-delta and PrBaCo2O5+delta increased when the atmosphere was altered from O-2 to Ar, due to a release of oxygen from the lattice in a reducing atmosphere. Significantly low water contents were measured for both Ba0.5Sr0.5CoxF1-xO3-delta and PrBaCo2O5+delta by Karl Fischer titration method. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
