Behavioral factors study of residential users which influence the energy consumption
The aim of this research was to gain knowledge about those behavioral factors of inhabitants in the residential sector that influence the energy consumption levels of suburban houses. An interdisciplinary approach was adopted to design appropriate survey tools, process information and evaluate the results obtained. The number of family members, their ages and the amount of time they spend at home are detected as important factors, so that a valid index could be determined from the consumption ratio per inhabitant and hours stayed at home.
