Fe2+ and Zn2+ ions were chelated with S,S-ethylenediamine-N,N'-disuccinic acid, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and L-lysine in aq. medium at pH 5-6 and mole ratio 1:1 to 1:3. The chelation degree was established by differential pulse voltammetry. The chelating agents were recommended for covering microelements from mineral wool waste.
