Four corn. TiO2-contg. photocatalytic paints were studied for antifungal activity on solid medium substrate (coating thickness 2 mm). Mould fungi Aspergillus versicolor, A. niger, Penicillium chrysogenum, Stachybotrys chartarum, Altemaria alternata, Cladosporium cladosporoides strains were used in the study. The inhibition of fungal growth depended on the paint compn., degree of diln., conditions (dark or light) and fungal species. The silicate paint showed the highest antifungal activity.
