Corn. Fe-Cr catalyst was disintegrated to grain size <0.1 mm, immobilized on SiO2 prepd. by sol-gel method, and used for alkylation of PhOH with MeOH in fluidized bed in presence of H2O (1:5:1 by mole) at 330-360 degrees C. The highest yield of 2,6-Me2C6H3OH (98.1%) was achieved for the catalyst content 50% in the bed, the highest selectivity (79.2%) was at the catalyst content 40%.
