Studies on the selection of the optimum catalytic system for the selective oxidation of acrolein prepared by dehydration of glycerol
Several Mo-V based oxide systems were used as catalysts in prodn. of acrylic acid by vapor-phase selective oxidn. of acrolein from gas-phase dehydration of glycerol. The most active and selective was the alpha-Al2O3-supported (Mo-V-W-Cu)O-x catalyst (sp. surface of support below 2 m(2)/g).
