Hexamethylene, 4,4'-dicyclohexylmethylene and isophorone diisocyanates were reacted with a corn. oligocarbonatediol and ethylene glycol and glycerol to resp. polycarbonateurethanes in 2 step synthesis. The products were studied for structure, degree of phase sepn., d., hardness, Young modulus, tensile strength, resilence, abrasive wear and toxicity. The polymer based on hexamethylene diisocyanate showed the best applicability for the long term implants.
