Synthesis of N,N-dimethylalkylamine N-oxides and comparison of the methods for determination the reaction yields
Me2NR (R = C12H25,C14H29, C16H33, C18H37) were oxidized with H2O2 to their N-oxides. The oxidn. yields (97-99.5%) were detd. by Polonovsky reaction and by titrn. of the amine with HCl before and after its quaternization.
