Estimation of low cycle fatigue life on the accumulated hysterisis energy of Delta sigma.epsilon(p) for direct aged alloy 718. (Ni-based superalloys)
The low cycle fatigue property and its life for a Ni-base superalloy of DA Alloy 718 were estimated on the consideration of accumulated hysterisis energy (Delta sigma.Delta epsilon(p)) comparing to the general hysterisis strain of Delta epsilon(p), In the consideration of hysterisis energy on the LCF, the hysterisis stress of Delta sigma could be taken into account of the life prediction in order to improve accuracy and set a new estimation for the LCF life prediction. In this study, the new estimation of hysterisis energy on LCF prediction was carried out for DA Alloy 718 at the temperatures of 500 degrees C and 650 degrees C. Additionally, the configuration of plastic deformation was considered to compare it with the hysterisis energy at each LCF test by TEM.
