The aim of this work is to study the effect of Na and Mg compounds (sodium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide) in the rheology of the bentonite clay dispersions from Paraiba State. Three samples of polycationics bentonites clays called Bofe, Chocolate and Verde-lodo from Paraiba deposits were studied. The results showed that the sequence of compound addition can modify the rheological behavior of the clay dispersions.
