Long term performance of the reactor based positron beam POSH
Positron Beam Doppler Broadening (S-parameter) measurements have been performed to study the damage produced in the tungsten converter/moderator foils of the POSH source after three years of operation. The results will be addressed in terms of a reduced positron diffusion length caused by neutron irradiation induced damage in combination with "in situ" gamma-heating. In addition, observations concerning the mechanical behavior of the near core section of the POSH beam and the outcome of activity measurements will be presented.
