Recrystallization textures modelling of steels
TexReX is a physically based model for the prediction of recrystallisation kinetics, textures, and grain size as a function of the cold-rolling level and the thermal cycle. Deformation microstructure is described in terms of textures and orientation dependant stored energies. The nucleation rate as well as the nuclei orientation are stored energy dependant. The growth of these nuclei is expressed as the product of the mobility and the driving pressure, decreased by the Zener pressure due to the precipitates. The mobility of grain boundaries is derived from the temperature, the misorientation and the chemical composition. Results obtained with the model for prediction of recrystallisation features of cold-rolled Ti-IF steels are presented and discussed.
