Creating a model for percolation of grain boundaries in polycrystalline materials
The study of percolation paths through materials is important in its contribution to the grain boundary engineering of materials. Grain boundary engineering allows for the optimization of certain material properties by altering the statistical presence of beneficial grains and grain boundaries. This work specifies the importance of grain boundary character in contributing to the presence of special boundaries and discovering trends in the percolation of sensitized grain boundaries through polycrystalline materials.
