Excess molar volumes and excess molar enthalpies of ternary mixtures containing nitrobenzene at T = 308.15 K
Excess molar volumnes V-ijk(E) and excess molar enthalpies H-ijk(E) of {nitrobenzene (i) + benzene (j) + toluene, or + o-xylene, or + p-xylene (k)} ternary mixtures have been measured as a function of composition dilatometrically and calorimetrically at the temperature 308.15 K. The data obtained have been analysed in terms of the Flory theory. It has been observed that the H-ijk(E) values predicted by this theory compare reasonably well with the corresponding experimental values. The V-ijk(E) values are of the same order and sign, however, the agreement with the predictions is not satisfactory for these ternary mixtures.
