Supplementary Measurements of the (P,P,T)-Relation of Carbon-Dioxide in the Homogeneous Region at T=313-K and on the Coexistence Curve at T=304-K
This paper presents accurate (p, p, T) measurements on highly pure carbon dioxide in the homogeneous region at T = 313 K for densities between 340 kg.m(-3) and 720 kg.m(-3). The measurements (21 values) have been carried out to determine reference values for an apparatus specially developed for (p, p, T) measurements in the immediate vicinity of the critical point. The total uncertainty of the measurements in pressure is less than or equal to (0.7.10(-4).p to 1.0.1.0(-4).p) for densities between 340 kg.m(-3) and 580 kg.m(-3) (critical density p(c) = 467.6 kg.m(-3)) and for p > 580 kg.m(-3) the total uncertainty in density is less than or equal to 1.8.10(-4).rho. Furthermore, the vapour pressure, the saturated-liquid density, and the saturated-vapour density at T = 304 K (T-c = 304.134 K) have been determined. The new experimental results have been compared with the results of other workers. Based on the saturation densities measured in this work and on previous measurements, the critical temperature was redetermined as T-c = (304.134 +/- 0.010) K.
