Thermodynamic Properties of (A Methyl-Ester Plus an N-Alkane) .8. V-M(E)(Xch(3)(CH2)(U-3)Cooch3+(1-X)CH3(CH2)(V-2)CH3) with U=6 to 16 and V=5 to 13
Excess volumes of each of six methyl esters (from pentanoate to pentadecanoate) with each of five odd n-alkanes (from pentane to tridecane) have been obtained at the temperature 298.15 K using a vibrating-tube densimeter. The V-m(E) values were positive for the mixtures containing the heavier hydrocarbons and the slighter esters and negative in the other cases. The results for V-m(E) are compared with those obtained using several theoretical models; however the estimations were not good.
