Thermodynamics of Ammonium Halogenated Tellurides .3. Heat-Capacity, Phase-Transitions, and Thermodynamic Properties of (NH4)(2)Tebr6 at Temperatures from 5 K to 350 K
The heat capacity of ammonium hexabromotellurate (NH4)(2)TeBr6 was measured at temperatures from T = 5 K to T = 345 K by adiabatic calorimetry. Two lambda-shaped transitions were present, one at T = (193.25+/-0.05) K, with Delta(trs)S(m)(degrees) =(1.145+/-0.010).R, and another at T=(212.2+/-0.2)K, with Delta(trs)S(m)(degrees)=(0.122+/-0.010).R. Smoothed values of the standard thermodynamic quantities for pure (NH4)(2)TeBr6 are tabulated up to T = 350 K.
