Thermodynamic Properties of (A Methyl-Ester Plus an N-Alkane) .7. H-M(E)-Ab-D-V-M(E) for (Xch(3)(CH2)(2U-1)Co2Ch3 Plus (1-X)CH3(CH2)(2V)CH3) for U=4 to 7 and V=2 to 7
The excess molar enthalpies and volumes H-m(E) and V-m(E) of {xCH(3)(CH2)(2u+1)CO2CH3 (u = 4 to 7) + (1 - x)CH3(CH2)(2v)CH3 (v = 2 to 7)} at the temperature 298.15 K and at atmospheric pressure are reported. The excess molar enthalpies of all the mixtures were positive over the entire composition range decreasing with the length of the ester and increasing quasi-linearly with the length of the hydrocarbon. Since the evolution of the excess molar volumes is analogous, this presents negative values. A comparative analysis of the theoretical results using several models to estimate X(m)(E) and V-m(E) is also included.
