Silica nanoparticles immobilized benzoylthiourea ferrous complex as an efficient and reusable catalyst for one-pot synthesis of benzopyranopyrimidines
Benzoylthiourea Fe(II) complex was supported on silica nanoparticles and employed as a heterogeneous catalyst in preparation of benzopyranopyrimidines through one-pot condensation reaction of salicylaldehydes, malononitrile and secondary amines in EtOH, at room temperature. The prepared catalyst was characterized by BET, ICP, FT-IR, TGA, SEM-EDX, TEM and elemental analysis. The catalyst could be recovered easily and reused at least five times without significant loss of its catalytic activity (c) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
