A general approximation method for solving integrals containing a lognormal weighting function
A general approximation method for integrals of smooth integrands over the lognormal distribution is presented that is suitable for integration over smooth functions, particularly most integrands occurring in aerosol dynamics calculations. Its accuracy and performance is compared to numerical quadrature methods, the well-known Gauss-Hermite and the hardly-known Gauss-Wigert technique.
