New poly(alkylene carbonate)s with various alkyl chain have been synthesized with carbon dioxide and cyclopentene oxide, 1-hexene oxide and 1-dodecene oxide. Their molecular weight are rather high enough to give proper mechanical properties. The glass transition temperatures of the poly(alkylene carbonate)s are correlated with their structure. Higher transition temperature was observed in case of cyclic chain, however those are lied under 0℃ in case of linear alkyl chain.
