Energy and State Dependence in the Quenching and Predissociation of C2H2
The energy and state dependence in quenching and predissociation of acetylene from (A) over tilde (1)A(u) state has been investigated. Quenching is induced by efficient electronic relaxation prior to dissociation. The translational energy release in dissociation suggests an exit energy barrier of about 560 cm(-1) and a tunneling effect.
