(HMRI)-H-1 Detection of Gene Expression in Living Cells by Using Protein Tag and Biotinylation Probe
A new detection method for gene expression by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was developed using a protein-labeling system based on a noncatalytic mutant beta-lactamase (BL-tag system). By combining the BL-tag system with a specific biotinylation probe and a streptavidin-conjugated superparamagnetic iron oxide, target gene expression in living cells was successful detected by (HMRI)-H-1.
