Development of Boiler-Fuel Formulation Using Industrial Oil and Fat Wastes
The feasibility of controlling the viscosity and pour point of boiler fuel is studied using soap stock (sodium carboxylate) produced by treating vegetable oils with an alkali. The composition and thermal properties of the soap stock are studied. Results of studies of the physicochemical properties of boiler fuel having various soap-stock contents are cited.
