Laser Spectroscopy of the (A)over-Tilde (2)Pi-(X)over-Tilde (2)Sigma(+) Transition of Sroh - Deperturbation Analysis of K-Resonance in the Upsilon(2)=1 Level of the (A)over-Tilde (2)Pi State
Doppler limited laser excitation and sub-Doppler intermodulated fluorescence spectra of the (010)kappa(2) Sigma((-)), mu(2) Sigma((+)), (2) Delta(3/2)<--(000)(2) Sigma(+) and (010)(2) Pi subbands of the (A) over tilde (2) Pi-(X) over tilde (2) Sigma(+) system of SrOH have been recorded and rotationally analyzed. A strong perturbation due to a K-resonance crossing of the mu(2) Sigma((+)) and (2) Delta(3/2) vibronic components is observed. All measured line positions have been included in a complete deperturbation analysis of the upsilon(2)=1 level of the (A) over tilde (2) Pi state that takes account explicitly of Renner-Teller, spin-orbit, Lambda-type doubling, and iota-type doubling interactions. The results include the first reliable estimate of the Renner-Teller parameter for SrOH (epsilon=-0.0791). Dispersed fluorescence from the (A) over tilde (2) Pi state has been recorded using a digitally interfaced scanning monochromator. Strong intensity interference effects in the fluorescence from the (A) over tilde(010) and (A) over tilde(000)(2) Pi(3/2) levels are observed and give rise to branches with anomalous intensities or branches that are entirely absent.
