Tetracationic porphyrin dimers and heptacationic trimers were prepared by the connection of a bipyridyl linker with axial ligands of antimony(V) porphyrin and/or phosphorus(V) - porphyrin complexes. The measurement of cyclic voltammetry and absorption spectra showed that the electrochemically reduced species was a long-lived species of antimony(IV) porphyrin chromophore.
