Comparison of composition of phospholipid fractions produced by chemical extraction and accelerated solvent extraction
Lipids were sepd. from egg yolk by solvent extn. at 4 degrees C for 15 mm and by accelerated solvent extn. with MeOH, EtOH and i-PrOH at 80-100 degrees C and 11 MPa under N-2 for 60 s. The highest extn. yield (85.68%) was achieved by conventional extn. with MeOH. The accelerated solvent extn. was most efficient (yield 60.49%) when i-PrOH was used as solvent and process was carried out at 100 degrees C.
