Preparation of Chitosan-Quercetin Resin Microspheres and its Adsorption Properties for Flavonoids
In this paper, cross-linked chitosan microspheres (CCM) and quercetin were used as carrier and grafted functional group, respectively, to prepare chitosan-quercetin resin microspheres (CQRM). The products were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, 1H-nuclear magnetic resonance, and Atomic force microscopy. The results indicate that quercetin is grafted successfully onto CCM. Scanning electron microscope analysis indicates that CQRM prepared are porous spheres with average diameter of 600-800 mu m. The physicochemical and adsorption properties of CQRM were also studied. The results indicate that CQRM shows well stability and significant adsorption selectivity for flavonoids.
