Fly ash from an electric power station was activated by tribochem. micronization and studied for grain morphol., chem. and phase compn., hydration heat, thermal anal and behaviour in mixts. with a cement. The addn. of the activated fly ash (25%) to the cement resulted in an increase in the mech. strength of the concrete and its pozzolanic activity index.
