Preparation of N-methylaniline capped mesoporous TiO2 spheres by simple wet chemical method
Pure anatase mesoporous TiO2 nanospheres were synthesized by simple wet chemical treatment and characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and powder X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results revealed that the surface morphology of the TiO2 spheres could be controlled by adjusting the concentration of N-methylaniline and that the average diameter of the TiO2 spheres was 600 nm. FTIR results confirmed the formation of N-methylaniline capped TiO2 nanospheres. (C) 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
