An investigation of mechanically stimulated self-propagating reactions has been carried out for different conditions of mechanical activation in the ZnSSn system. The obtained results are generalized with focus on the determination of induction period preceding the ignition of mechanically induced self-propagating reactions (MSR). Accompanying phenomena and MSR features are studied and discussed.
