Carbon dioxide sequestration in Polish bituminous coal bed
CO2, MeH and their mixts. (1:1) were adsorbed on a ground bituminous coal from Upper Silesian Bassein (vitrinite content 67% by vol., porosity 15.86%) at 298 and 323 K under pressure up to 1 bar or up to 3 MPa to det. the sorption isotherms. The adsorption of CO2 was much more intensive than that of MeH. Therefore, CO2 can be stored in the coal seams replacing the coal-adsorbed MeH.
