Effect of multiple use of the enzyme on the properties of biodiesel obtained using ethyl acetate as acyl acceptor
Rapeseed oil was transesterified with AcOEt in presence of an ion exchanging resin-immobilized lipase at 40 degrees C for 8 h. The catalyst was sepd. from the reaction mixt. and multiple used for the reaction. The conversion of the rapeseed oil to the Et ester remained unchanged (about 90%) after reusing of the catalyst.
