On-Off Switching of the Novel Thermochromic Chiroptical Behavior of Pseudoisocyanine Driven by Association/Dissociation
The compound 1,1'-diethyl-2,2'-cyanine iodide forms a chiral fluorescent self-aggregate in aqueous solution at high salt concentration. This compound shows reversible quenching and emitting behaviors and exhibits an interesting on-off switching of thermochromic circularly polarized luminescence behavior as a result of the association-dissociation process.
