Electrochemically synthesized binary alloy FeNi nanorod and nanotube arrays in polycarbonate membranes
The binary alloy Fe(41)Ni(59) cylindrical nanorods and Fe(32)Ni(68) cylindrical nanotubes have been successfully synthesized by electrochemical deposition in porous polycarbonate membranes. The length and diameter of as-synthesized Fe(41)Ni(59) nanorods and Fe(32)Ni(68) nanotubes are 6-7 mu m and 200 nm, respectively. The magnetic properties of the as-synthesized Fe(41)Ni(59) nanorod and Fe(32)Ni(68) nanotube arrays have been studied. From hysteresis loops, the nanorod and nanotube arrays have anisotropy with the easy magnetization along the direction of the arrays. (C) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
