Numerical modeling of the hydrodynamics in an agitated vessel with an eccentrically located propeller
Hydrodynamics of distd. H(2)O in a vessel agitated with eccentric propeller was computer-simulated by using scale adaptive simulation approach with implemented shear stress transport model of turbulence. Simulations were carried out for the vessel with inner diam. 0.3 m and impeller radial eccentricity 0.53. Distributions of velocity components and kinetic energy of turbulence and energy dissipation were detd.
