Study on palladium-platinum-rhodium alloys as electrocatalysts in direct methanol fuel cells
Thin PtRhPd alloy layers were electrochem. deposited on an Au wire at varying times and potentials, studied for morphology, bulk compn. and catalytic activity in oxidn. of MeOH. The presence of Rh in the alloy coating resulted in a decrease of MeOH oxidn. potential but not in an increase in the current yield of the process.
