Biosynthesis of penicillin G by Penicillium chrysogenum as the marker of biodegradation of phosphonates
Penicillium chrysogenum fungi were used to biodegrade aminophosphonates as a sole source of P in the culture. The fungus did not loose its specific metabolic ability to biosynthesize penicillin G. This process was considered as a specific marker of biodegradn. of aliph. N-methylene-aminophosphonates.
