Production of feed mono calcium phosphates under utilization of the reaction heat to the limitation of the physical water content in the product
H(3)PO(4) or CaHPO(4) solns. were reacted with CaO and CaCO(3) to produce wet Ca(H(2)PO(4))(2)center dot H(2)O with min. content of H(2)O. The moisture content in the product decreased with increasing P(2)O(5) content in the substrate (up to 61%) and increasing CaO/CaCO(3) ratio (up to 9). The product contained total P up to 26.3% by mass, HCl acid-sol. P up to 26.4% by mass, citric acid-sol. P up to 24.3% by mass and H(2)O-sol. P up to 24.1% by mass. The bioavailability of P for animals was high enough for practical use of the product as feed phosphate.
