Poultry litter was blended with brown coal, magnesite and a mineralizate made by slaughter waste digestion in H(2)SO(4) to decrease the emission of N compds. (esp. NH(3)) during the storage for 7 and 14 days. The additives were used in proportions 1:4 to 1:5 and showed inhibitory effects. The best effects were achieved by using brown coal and the mineralizate (redn. up to 70%). Simultaneous use of all 3 additives was recommended.
