Hydrochemical coefficients of underground waters in Malopolska province
Numerical data on chem. comp. of underground waters of various age (Paleozoic, Mesozoic, Cainozoic) sampled from 2033 drilled wells in Malopolska province and collected by Geol. Inst. (Cracow, PL) were used for calcn. of hydrochem. coeffs. describing the equiv. or mass content ratios of ions contained in the studied waters. The low values of the Na/Cl, SO4/Cl and (Na+K)/Cl coeffs. (mval/mval) showed reductive conditions and limited water exchange, the high values showed oxidative conditions and intensive water exchange, while the low K/(Na+K) coeff. (mass/mass) indicated a low intensity of the agricultural soil fertilization in the whole region.
