Effect of chloride ions on formation chloroorganic substances during oxidation of fulvic acids
Fulvic acids (250 nm particles, conc. 50 mg/L) were oxidized with H2O2 and NAOCI in aq. suspension in presence of Cl- ions. Formation of C6H4Cl2, C(6)H(4)m(32), PhCl, CCl2 = CCl2, C2H4Cl2 and CCl2 = CHCl was evidenced by chromatog. after oxidn. with H2O2 esp. at hight concn. of Cl in the reaction mixt. (800-1200 mg/L). C6H4Me2 and PhH were main products of the oxidn. with NaOCl and low Cl concn. (up to 900 mg/L).
