The effect of the hydrophobization degree with the ASA glue on the optical properties of colored papers
An alkenyl succinic anhydride (ASA) used to size paper stock dyed in mass affected only insignificantly the light absorption, reflecting power, ISO brightness, CIE brightness opacity, and color in the CIE L(star)a(star)b system. ASA is advisable for papers whose well-defined color is important.
