Modeling of hop extraction under supercritical conditions
A desorption mass-transfer model was developed for the solid-supercrit. fluent extn. and tested on two Polish hop varieties, Marynka and Magnum. The desorption consts. based on the Arrhenius equation, evaluated from lab. and com. plant data for Marynka and Magnum, were resp. (3.83 and 4.83)center dot 10(-) (4) S(-1) at 290 bar, 50 degrees C, and CO(2) flow rate 0.63-3.78 kg/(m(2)s).
