Studies on the activity of Pd/TiO2 catalysts in the hydrodechlorination of CCl4
Com. TiO2-supported 1, 2, or 5%Pd catalysts, Impregnated from aq. Pd(NO3)(2) or PdCl2, were used to hydrodechlorinate CCl4. They were examd. by ToF-SIMS, AAS, BET, TOC, chemisorption, temp.-programmed redn with H-2, and catalyst activity tests. The PdCl2-derived catalysts had lifetimes of several days vs. the 10+ hrs. of the Pd(NO3)(2)-derived ones. The lifetime was not related to metal content.
