The effect of solvent in the extraction of nickel(II) ions from chloride solutions with di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (D2EHPA)
Extn of Ni(II) with 0.02 or 0.2 mol D2EHPA/I. in kerosene < hexane < toluene (ascending extractant power) at 21 degrees C occurred at aq. phase equil. pH > 5. The resulting complex (Ni(D2EHPA)(2)) was not solvated by the free solvent mols.
