The distribution character and the composition of hydrocarbons in Azerbaijani oils of different types were studied. Concentrates of aromatic hydrocarbons were isolated from the 50A degrees fractions of crude oils and oil residues boiling above 450A degrees C. The structural-group composition of the isolated aromatic hydrocarbons was studied by spectral methods (mass spectrometry and (1)H NMR spectroscopy).
