Reactivity of alpha-olefins in the metathesis reaction on the MoCl5/SiO2-SnMe4 catalyst system
The kinetics and the reactivity of decene-1, octene-1, and hexene-1 in the metathesis reaction at 27 and 50 degrees C in the presence Of MoCl5/SiO2-SnMe4 were studied and evaluated. It was shown that experimental data comply well with the simple kinetic equation for the rate of the formation of symmetrical olefin with allowance for the reverse reaction and catalyst deactivation: r = (k(1)c(alpha) - k(-1)c(s))e(-k (n) over bar diot). The coefficients for this equation were found, and these alpha-olefins were shown to have practically the same reactivity.
